Sorba Thomas Unharmed After Car Flip Near Hull Training Ground

Hull City winger Sorba Thomas escaped injury after his car overturned in a crash close to the club’s training ground on Friday morning.

The 27-year-old was involved in a collision on Millhouse Woods Lane in Cottingham, a short distance from Hull’s base. Images from the scene showed a grey Land Rover Defender on its roof, windows smashed, resting in the road.

Despite the dramatic pictures, Thomas managed to walk away from the wreckage.

Humberside Police confirmed emergency services remained at the scene as investigations continued and urged the public to avoid the area while officers worked.

Hull City moved quickly to calm fears among supporters after photographs of the vehicle began to circulate online. In a statement, the club said it was “relieved” to learn that Thomas was unharmed and stressed he had “sustained no injuries and emerged from his vehicle completely unscathed.”

Thomas only joined the Tigers earlier this month from Championship side Stoke City, arriving with expectations of adding pace and directness to the attack. For Hull, the sight of their new Premier League winger walking away without a scratch will feel as important as any early-season result.
