Schalke Boosted as Gosens and Karaman Return to Training

With the new Bundesliga season edging closer, FC Schalke 04 finally have some good news from the treatment room.

Summer signing Robin Gosens was back out with the group on Wednesday, 12 August, taking part in large portions of full team training. For a club eager to see their new arrival settle quickly, it marks an important step.

Gosens had picked up a thigh injury in a test match against Hessen Kassel at the start of the month, an early setback that briefly checked the optimism around his arrival. His progress now eases some of those concerns and puts him back on track for the opening phase of the campaign.

The mood brightened further with captain Kenan Karaman also returning to training. The forward had suffered a pelvic contusion in the friendly against Atalanta on 8 August, raising fears of a longer absence. His comeback on the pitch restores both experience and leadership to the sessions.

Not everyone is back yet. Junior Dina Ebimbe continues to work individually and still needs a little more time before he can rejoin full squad training.

With the season fast approaching, Schalke’s injury list is shrinking at just the right moment.
