On Wednesday, Racing Santander were the latest to be swept away, dismantled 7-2 as Hansi Flick’s side made it six wins from six in La Liga and underlined, again, that this attack is operating on a different level.

Raphinha walked off with the match ball and the league’s scoring charts under his arm. The Brazilian struck a hat trick, taking his tally to nine goals in six league games and keeping up a remarkable run of scoring in all but one outing this season.

He kept going. Late on, persistence paid off and he finally scored, adding his name to a scoreline that already screamed dominance. Barcelona have now hit at least five goals in five of their seven matches in all competitions this season. Only a 2-0 win over Athletic Bilbao breaks the pattern.

This is not a one-off surge; it’s a trend. Barcelona have crushed Elche, Rayo Vallecano and Valencia in La Liga, and put Feyenoord to the sword in the Champions League. The numbers are brutal: 33 goals scored, seven conceded, across seven games in all competitions.
The defending La Liga champions now sit three points clear of Real Madrid, who won at Elche on Tuesday but are struggling to match this kind of attacking avalanche.

One blemish in goal
There was one concern for Flick. Goalkeeper Joan García had to come off at halftime with an apparent injury, bringing Wojciech Szczesny into the game.
The experienced Pole then produced the one moment Barcelona will want to forget. Trying to control the ball inside his own area, Szczesny was caught in possession and robbed in front of goal, gifting Racing one of their two strikes.
On a night when Barcelona again looked irresistible going forward, that slip will linger in the back of Flick’s mind. If his team keep scoring like this, though, the real question is simple: who on earth is going to stop them?
