Locatelli Faces Knee Tests After Juve–Milan Draw

Manuel Locatelli is heading for medical tests after feeling pain in his knee during Juventus’ 1-1 draw with Milan at the Allianz Stadium on Sunday night.

The Juventus captain reported discomfort late in the Serie A clash but stayed on the pitch and completed the full 90 minutes. Reports from Gianluca Di Marzio and other Italian outlets state that the midfielder flagged the issue to the medical staff after the final whistle.

The pressure now moves to JMedical. Locatelli is expected to undergo examinations in the coming hours, with Juventus waiting for clarity on the extent of the problem.

The timing could hardly be worse for the Bianconeri’s midfield plans. Khephren Thuram has already undergone knee surgery and is not expected back until early 2027, leaving a significant gap in the centre of the pitch.

Another setback there would hit hard.

If Locatelli is sidelined, Luciano Spalletti will be forced to lean heavily on Weston McKennie, Douglas Luiz, Teun Koopmeiners and summer signing Pape Matar Sarr to carry the load in central midfield.

For a Juventus side trying to build stability through its spine, the outcome of Locatelli’s tests now looms large over the months ahead.
