Former Birmingham City winger Jordan Graham is in hospital receiving specialist treatment after what has been described as a “serious road traffic accident”.

The Professional Footballers’ Association (PFA) confirmed the news in a statement issued on behalf of Graham’s family, revealing the 31-year-old was injured in an incident earlier this month.

No details of the crash have been made public, but the tone of the message underlined the severity of the situation. Graham’s family, the PFA said, are “incredibly grateful for the care he is receiving” and have asked for privacy while they focus fully on his recovery, requesting that people do not contact them directly. Any further updates, they stressed, will only come “when appropriate”.

Graham’s journey through the English game has taken him across the country. An Aston Villa academy graduate, he broke through at Wolves, making 17 first-team appearances and catching the eye with his direct running and delivery from wide areas.

Loan spells followed at Ipswich Town, Bradford City, Oxford United and Fulham, each move another attempt to carve out a regular starting role in the professional game.

Impact at Birmingham City

His most sustained impact came at Birmingham City. Joining from Gillingham in 2021, Graham went on to play 49 times in the Championship for Blues between 2021 and 2023, offering energy and width in a side often battling at the gritty end of the table.

Across his career, he has made 188 senior appearances. He has not played competitively since leaving Leyton Orient in 2025, but his name still carries weight at several clubs.
