According to Bild, the 23-year-old’s medication dosage has been increased after he suffered two collapses in friendly matches, linked to brief neurological disturbances and short losses of consciousness. The situation has sharpened medical focus around the Germany international, and the message from the bench is clear: there will be no rushing him back.

Even so, the signs on the training pitch are encouraging. Musiala completed the full team session on Monday afternoon, throwing himself into duels and staying on for the entire workout. Part of the session took place behind a protective screen, part on the neighbouring pitch in full view, and through it all he looked strong, mobile and close to competitive sharpness.

The club’s coaching staff are said to be handling his case with particular care, balancing his obvious readiness with the need to protect him after those recent scares. Caution, not desperation, is setting the pace.

There is a payoff for Vincent Kompany. With Musiala back in full training alongside Serge Gnabry, Bild reports that the coach now has his entire squad available. No one is in the treatment room. No one is working individually.
