World Cup 2026: Players Facing Yellow Card Suspension Threat for Semi-Finals

Nineteen footballers enter the quarter-final stage of the World Cup 2026 carrying a yellow card. Should any of these players receive another booking in this round, they will be suspended for their team’s potential semi-final match.

Among those at risk are some well-known names like Morocco's captain Achraf Hakimi, France and Bayern Munich forward Michael Olise, Norway and RB Leipzig winger Antonio Nusa, as well as England midfielder Jude Bellingham.

It’s important to note that yellow cards earned before the knockout phase were cleared before the round of 32 began. A reset of bookings will happen again after the quarter-finals to prevent suspensions from carrying over further.

Red Card Incident in Round of 16

England’s Jarell Quansah was the only player sent off during the round of 16, receiving a red card against Mexico. This means he will miss England's quarter-final clash with Norway.
