Latest Transfer Updates: Liverpool Teenager Loans Out, Issa Diop Joins Ipswich, Besiktas Eye Joe Willock

Amara Nallo, the 19-year-old defender at Liverpool, is close to joining Finnish club HJK Helsinki on loan. After three years at Liverpool following his transfer from West Ham United, Nallo’s appearances have been marked by disciplinary issues, including red cards against PSV Eindhoven in the Champions League and Crystal Palace in the EFL Cup. His only clean first-team outing was a 6-0 UEFA Champions League victory over Qarabag in January.

Despite the departure of Ibrahima Konate, chances for Nallo in Liverpool’s first team would have remained scarce next season. Journalist Eetu Ikola reports the centre-back will move temporarily, with Nallo already listed on HJK’s UEFA squad ahead of their Conference League qualifier against Coleraine. It remains unclear if the deal includes any purchase option or obligation. Nallo’s contract with Liverpool runs for two more seasons.

Issa Diop Completes Permanent Transfer to Ipswich Town

Issa Diop has officially signed with Ipswich Town from Fulham. The 29-year-old defender spent four years at Craven Cottage, making 96 appearances and scoring three goals. He struggled to secure a regular spot in the 2025-26 Premier League season, featuring in just 13 league matches, eight of which he started.

Diop, who previously played for West Ham and represented Morocco in the 2026 World Cup—where he scored a late equaliser against the Netherlands—has agreed to a four-year deal with Ipswich. The fee is reported to be around £8.6 million. Diop expressed excitement about joining Ipswich, emphasizing the club’s stature and the positive discussions leading to his move.

Besiktas Pursuing Newcastle Midfielder Joe Willock

Joe Willock is attracting attention from Turkish side Besiktas. The 26-year-old midfielder saw limited Premier League starts last season behind teammates Sandro Tonali, Bruno Guimaraes, and Joelinton but still made 39 appearances across all competitions. Entering the final year of his contract at Newcastle United, with no extension planned, Willock could soon change clubs.

Journalist Luke Edwards reports that Besiktas is keen to sign him, and talks over a transfer fee are underway. Newcastle initially paid £25.1 million to acquire Willock from Arsenal in 2021 after a successful loan spell. During his time at Newcastle, he scored 19 goals and assisted 11 in 182 matches. Notably, Willock scored in seven consecutive Premier League games during the 2020-21 season.

Fulham Engaged in Talks for Real Madrid Forward Gonzalo Garcia

Fulham is reportedly in discussions to bring in Gonzalo Garcia from Real Madrid. The 22-year-old striker impressed during the 2025 Club World Cup, scoring four goals and assisting once in six appearances. However, competition for attacking roles limited his impact in the 2025-26 season, where he netted eight goals and contributed three assists in 39 matches.

Garcia’s contract with Real Madrid extends until 2030 after an extension last summer. Fulham’s manager, Alvaro Arbeloa—a former Real coach—is actively involved in negotiations. Although new Real boss Jose Mourinho supports Garcia, he cannot guarantee him regular playing time. Reports suggest Real Madrid will seek some form of preferential rights in the deal, such as a buyback clause, first refusal, or a share of future transfer fees.
