Hull City Secure Sweden Star Elliot Stroud in £3.5m Deal
Hull City have finalized the acquisition of Elliot Stroud, the Swedish international, from Allsvenskan champions Mjallby for a fee reported to be £3.5 million. This marks the seventh signing for Hull during their summer recruitment drive as they prepare for their Premier League return.

Stroud, aged 24, has put pen to paper on a four-year contract with an option to extend for an additional year at the MKM Stadium. His versatility and European experience add depth to the Tigers’ squad following promotion.
Performance and Achievements at Mjallby
During his tenure with Mjallby, Stroud made 87 league appearances, scoring 19 goals and assisting 13 times. He played a key role in securing the 2025 Allsvenskan title and lifting the Svenska Cupen, showcasing his ability to contribute significantly to team success.
International Experience and World Cup Involvement
His accomplishments on the domestic front earned him a spot in Sweden’s 2026 World Cup squad, where he appeared in four matches as Sweden advanced to the round of 32. The global stage offered invaluable experience ahead of his Premier League challenge.

Hull City will face Manchester United at the MKM Stadium on August 22, marking their first Premier League match since the 2016-17 season.
