RB Leipzig's Antonio Nusa Draws Interest from Roma and Other European Clubs

Roma is showing strong interest in acquiring Antonio Nusa, the winger currently playing for RB Leipzig. According to Gazzetta dello Sport, the Italian club has been closely monitoring the 21-year-old Norwegian forward, especially after seeing Mason Greenwood join Fenerbahce and Crysencio Summerville transfer to Al-Hilal.

Discussions between Roma and Leipzig’s top management have reportedly begun regarding a potential transfer. Yet Leipzig values Nusa highly and is demanding a fee estimated between €50 million and €60 million. His contract with the German club lasts until 2029, making Leipzig reluctant to sell him cheaply.

Roma Exploring Alternatives

Given the hefty asking price, Roma is also scouting other options. The Serie A side has considered players like Andreas Schjelderup from Benfica and 19-year-old Said El Mala of 1. FC Cologne, who is also attracting interest from Borussia Dortmund.

Other Clubs Tracking Nusa

Nusa’s appeal extends beyond Italy. In June, reports linked him with Premier League clubs including Newcastle United and Arsenal. According to the Newcastle Chronicle, several other teams such as Juventus, Tottenham Hotspur, and Crystal Palace are also watching the winger closely.

There have been whispers about Bayern Munich showing interest too, but a move to the German champions seems unlikely at this stage. Bayern has already secured Ismael Saibari from PSV Eindhoven as their preferred left flank reinforcement.

Nusa’s Journey and Performance at Leipzig

Antonio Nusa joined RB Leipzig in the summer of 2024, transferring from Club Brugge for €21 million. Quickly becoming a regular starter, the versatile winger plays comfortably on both wings.

Last season, he appeared in 35 matches across competitions for Leipzig, scoring five goals and assisting four times, solidifying his role as an important attacking option.
