Wrexham Pursue £6.5m Transfer for Callum O'Hare

Wrexham are pushing hard to land Sheffield United midfielder Callum O'Hare in a dramatic deadline day move worth around £6.5m.

The 26-year-old is set to undergo a medical in north Wales as the club races to get the deal signed off before the 23:00 BST cut-off. The intention is a permanent transfer, a statement piece as the ambitious League Two side look to supercharge their attack.

Sheffield United manager Chris Wilder confirmed on Monday that Wrexham had come forward for the attacking midfielder, whose stock has risen after a strong start to the season.

O'Hare has featured in every game for the Blades so far this campaign and scored in Saturday's 2-2 draw with Cardiff City. He still has two years remaining on his contract at Bramall Lane, underlining the scale of Wrexham’s move to prise him away.
