Worthing Sign Striker Jordan Young from Torquay United

Worthing have moved to sharpen their attacking edge by landing striker Jordan Young from Torquay United for an undisclosed fee.

The 27-year-old arrives with a serious record at National League South level, having hit 35 goals in 88 appearances for Torquay since joining from Yeovil Town in October 2024. A reliable scorer, but also a creator, he has been one of United’s key threats in the final third.

Worthing manager Adam Hinshelwood made it clear why the club pushed to get the deal done, highlighting Young’s ability from set pieces and his knack for game-changing moments.

“Jordan has great dead-ball delivery and can score and assists goals from out of nowhere, so he's going to be a really important player for us,” Hinshelwood told the club’s website.

Torquay, meanwhile, have protected their longer-term interests. The club confirmed that the agreement with Worthing “also ensures that United will retain a significant financial interest in any future transfer”, a clause that keeps them tied to Young’s next move.
