Tottenham Loan Deal for Pape Matar Sarr: What’s Next?

Tottenham have agreed a deal with Juventus for Pape Matar Sarr to leave on loan, with an option for the Italian club to make the move permanent for £25.7million at the end of the season.

The midfielder is one of several exits being pushed through as Spurs reshape their squad in the final days of the window. Highly rated teenager Mikey Moore has been cleared to join Bundesliga side Koln on loan, while left-back Souza is heading to Porto on a temporary deal until the summer.

Spurs are not just trimming numbers. They are still actively chasing another attacker before the deadline and remain in talks with Everton over a move for Iliman Ndiaye.

Everton, for their part, are working on a separate deal to bring Richarlison back to Goodison Park, two years after he left for north London. The Brazilian’s future has accelerated after he made it clear to Roberto De Zerbi that he wants out.

The Spurs head coach revealed over the weekend that Richarlison, Sarr and Kevin Danso have all asked to leave, with Danso attracting loan interest from Sunderland.

“He said too many times that he wants to leave,” De Zerbi said of Richarlison. “Danso came to me two days ago, and he said he wants to leave, and Pape Sarr, the same, but he suffered a small injury, but he is almost ready to train.”

De Zerbi’s stance is blunt: no player will be kept against his will, provided a deal makes sense for the club.

“I love these players, they are great guys, I have very good relationships, but if they want to leave, they have to bring the solution, the economic solution, to the club, and they can go, and we find other players.”

With Sarr bound for Turin, Moore off to Germany, Souza to Portugal and Richarlison pushing for a return to Merseyside, Tottenham’s deadline day now hinges on one question: who comes through the door to replace them?
