The phones are on. The staff are in place. But at Valdebebas and the Santiago Bernabeu, Real Madrid are expecting the final day of the transfer window to pass with barely a ripple.

The club’s position is clear: no one comes in unless someone leaves first. And right now, that exit door looks firmly shut.

Camavinga at the centre of the standstill

According to Spanish newspaper AS, much of the internal attention circles around two names: Raul Asencio and Eduardo Camavinga. Different profiles, different situations, but one shared stance – both want to stay at Real Madrid.

Asencio has been offered to the club on a loan deal. Camavinga has not been on the table in that way at all.

The French midfielder has always represented a potential financial lever rather than a sporting doubt. His sale would mean a major cash injection and greater room to operate in the market. That’s why the club drew a hard line weeks ago: Camavinga would not leave under any circumstances unless a huge offer arrived. The figure was set at no less than 70 million euros.

That bid has not come. Not from England, not from anywhere.

So the message holds. Unless a club drops that kind of money on deadline day, Camavinga stays.

A slim chance of late drama

Could things still ignite? Only if that 70 million euro offer suddenly appears. A proposal of that size would force Real Madrid to sit back down with the player, review the scenario and at least talk.

Right now, that chain of events feels highly unlikely. Clubs have had weeks to move. They haven’t.

Inside the Bernabeu offices, though, no one is fully closing the door on other names. Ferland Mendy’s situation remains one to watch, even if the club believe there are currently no concrete offers for the left-back. His ongoing injury hardly helps his market value or his chances of a late switch.

Endrick and Mourinho aligned
