Pedro Neto Attracts Interest from Premier League Giants

Pedro Neto is back on the Premier League radar – and this time, the glare is coming from the very top.

Chelsea’s 26-year-old winger has drawn firm interest from four Premier League clubs, with Manchester City among those tracking his situation as the transfer deadline looms. At Stamford Bridge, he is not in the small group of ‘untouchables’. That matters. It means a deal is possible if someone is willing to pay.

Chelsea will not make it easy. Neto cost £54m when he arrived from Wolves in 2024, and the club are adamant any buyer will have to dig deep again. Internally, they see a market for wide forwards that has lost all sense of restraint, driven by scarcity and desperation among Europe’s elite.

The numbers tell the story. Morgan Rogers moving for £117m. Paris St-Germain slapping a £145m valuation on Bradley Barcola. Fees like that have helped set the bar for Neto, and Chelsea intend to use them as a benchmark, not an outlier.

That stance has not cooled interest from Manchester City. Neto is on their list, and a move to the Etihad would reunite him with Enzo Maresca, the former Chelsea head coach now in charge of the champions. The two built a strong relationship during their time together in west London, and that connection has not gone unnoticed.

Neto is among the players understood to have been frustrated by Maresca’s departure midway through last season. Now, with the window ticking down and City circling, that frustration could yet open the door to one of the most intriguing late moves of the summer.
