Omar Marmoush: A Fantasy Premier League Gem for Spurs
Omar Marmoush has barely walked through the doors at Tottenham Hotspur, and already the Fantasy Premier League spotlight is on him.
The Egyptian forward, priced at £7.0m, arrives from Manchester City with a schedule that almost begs FPL managers to take an early gamble in 2026/27.
Fixtures made for a fast start
Spurs have been handed one of the most inviting early runs in the league. They are one of only three clubs – along with Bournemouth and Leeds United – to play three home matches in the next four Gameweeks.
The sequence is clear and tempting:
- GW2: Newcastle United (H) – FDR 2
- GW3: Nottingham Forest (A) – FDR 3
- GW4: Everton (H) – FDR 3
- GW5: Aston Villa (H) – FDR 3
None of those fixtures rate higher than three on the Fixture Difficulty Ratings scale, where five is the toughest and one the easiest. Three home games, all in the “manageable” bracket, and a single away trip that doesn’t look daunting on paper. For a new forward settling in, it’s as gentle a landing as you can reasonably hope for in the Premier League.
A home specialist
What makes Marmoush particularly intriguing is how sharply his record at Manchester City tilts towards home comfort.
Every single one of his 10 Premier League goals for City came on home turf. So did two of his four assists.

He simply did his best work in front of his own fans. Now he walks into a run where three of his first four league outings for Spurs are at home. For FPL managers, that alignment between profile and fixtures is hard to ignore.
De Zerbi’s fast-track policy
There is another key factor: Roberto De Zerbi does not seem interested in easing his new forwards in slowly.
The Spurs head coach handed Savio, priced at £6.5m, a debut just one day after the Brazilian completed his move from Manchester City, starting him in midweek against Charlton Athletic in the EFL Cup. Savio responded instantly with a goal and an assist.
That is the template. De Zerbi trusts sharp, fit arrivals, and Marmoush has already put in the work. The 25-year-old featured prominently for City in pre-season, so he arrives at full match fitness rather than needing weeks to catch up. A starting berth against Newcastle on Saturday evening is a very realistic prospect.
If Savio could explode straight away, Marmoush has every chance of doing the same.
A differential to pair with the big guns
Despite his pedigree and the schedule in front of him, Marmoush sits at just 1.0 per cent ownership in Fantasy. He is, for now, a pure differential.
Most managers will lock in Erling Haaland at £15.5m. Many will look towards Joao Pedro at £7.6m as a mid-price partner. Marmoush offers an alternative route: a third forward who can ride this Spurs fixture wave while the crowd looks elsewhere.
Three home games in four. A proven home scorer. A manager willing to throw new signings straight into the starting XI.
