Mo Fuseini Receives Ghana Call-Up for International Matches

Mo Fuseini has been rewarded for his recent form with a call-up to the Ghana squad for the September/October international window.

The 24-year-old forward, on loan from Union St Gilloise, received confirmation of his selection over the weekend and now has the chance to build on the two senior caps he already owns. His inclusion comes on the back of a dramatic moment at club level.

Fuseini’s stoppage-time equaliser against Burnley halted a run of three straight defeats and earned the Rams a deserved point at Turf Moor, just days before the three-week international break kicked in. That late strike did more than salvage a draw; it underlined his growing influence at a crucial stage of the season.

Now he turns his attention to national duty. The Black Stars face a busy schedule of three matches across the break.

Ghana resume their Africa Cup of Nations qualifying campaign with a heavyweight clash against the Ivory Coast on Thursday 24th September, kicking off at 8pm (BST), before meeting Gambia on Tuesday 29th September at 5pm (BST). Between those competitive fixtures, they will also take on Morocco in a friendly on Sunday 4th October.

For Fuseini, it is another chance to convince at the highest level – and to turn late-clutch moments in club colours into something more permanent on the international stage.
