Manchester United Signs Sweden Winger Monica Jusu Bah

Manchester United have struck a deal to sign Sweden winger Monica Jusu Bah from BK Hacken, landing one of the most highly regarded wide players in the Damallsvenskan.

The 23-year-old is expected to complete her move before next Thursday’s Women’s Super League transfer deadline, with only the final formalities left before she becomes United’s latest addition.

A fee will be required to prise her away from Gothenburg. Jusu Bah signed an extension with BK Hacken in September 2025 and is under contract until 2028, meaning United are paying to buy out several years of her deal. The exact figure remains undisclosed, but the length of her contract in Sweden underlines the scale of the investment.

Jusu Bah has spent her entire senior career in Sweden. She broke through at Umea, catching the eye with her direct running and work rate, before earning a move to BK Hacken in 2023. Her rise has been steady rather than sudden, but the last 12 months have pushed her firmly onto the radar of Europe’s biggest clubs.

In May, she played a key role as BK Hacken lifted the inaugural Women’s Europa Cup, adding continental silverware to her résumé and proving she can handle high-stakes fixtures.

Her international profile is growing just as quickly. Jusu Bah has already made 11 appearances for Sweden and featured in all six of their Women’s World Cup qualifying matches this year, a sign of the trust placed in her at national-team level.

United are not finished yet. The club are understood to be targeting at least one more signing before the window shuts next week, as they reshape a squad aiming to close the gap at the top of the WSL.

The move for Jusu Bah follows the arrivals of defender Andrea Medina from Atletico Madrid and goalkeeper Janina Leitzig from Leicester City, underlining a clear strategy: strengthen every line, add depth, and bring in players used to competing for trophies.
