The pursuit of Iliman Ndiaye appears to have ended after Everton set a price tag of £75m, which Man United are unwilling to meet. This leaves Saudi club Al-Hilal as the favourites, despite Ndiaye’s preference to stay in Europe.
On a more positive note, a new midfield target has emerged. Manchester United are interested in Juventus's Teun Koopmeiners, though Aston Villa also seek the 28-year-old Dutch international. Koopmeiners joined Juventus from Atalanta in 2024 for £42.7m but struggled for game time last season, starting only 18 out of 33 Serie A matches.
