Liverpool Negotiating for Bradley Barcola from PSG

Liverpool are locked in negotiations with Paris Saint-Germain over a deal for Bradley Barcola, with talks described as active and ongoing on a daily basis, according to Fabrizio Romano.

The 23-year-old winger, a European champion with PSG and formerly of Lyon, is understood to be keen on a move to Anfield this summer, so personal terms are not expected to be a stumbling block. The real battle lies between the clubs.

Barcola’s situation took another twist on Wednesday night. PSG edged Aston Villa 2-1 in the UEFA Super Cup, yet the France international never left the bench, remaining an unused substitute on a night when many expected him to showcase his credentials. His absence from the pitch only sharpened the sense that something is moving behind the scenes.

PSG soften stance as Liverpool circle

PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi did little to cool the speculation. Speaking to Canal+, he left the door conspicuously open, saying: “We will see in the next days. We are discussing, we are negotiating.”

For a player previously viewed as part of PSG’s long-term core, that line matters. It is the clearest sign yet that Barcola is no longer treated as untouchable in Paris.

Liverpool, though, still have to find common ground on the fee. PSG are open to a sale, but not to a bargain. The talks continue, the numbers move, and Barcola waits – with Anfield firmly in his sights and his future hanging on how far Liverpool are willing to go to get him.
