“No one from Liverpool FC has contacted us about renewing his contract yet,” he said.
“We have a valid contract and we are committed to it with Liverpool, and if the club does not offer to renew the contract, that is their right. At the moment, Alexis must give his best for the club in every game during the weekend.
“Alexis is not disappointed. This is a decision made by the club, and we do not judge their decisions, we just prepare for what is to come.”
No frustration. No public pressure. Just a clear message: Liverpool call the shots, and Mac Allister will get on with his job.
Real Madrid links shut down
Mac Allister’s dip in form last season opened the door to speculation about his long-term future. As often happens with any high-profile midfielder in Europe, Real Madrid’s name quickly entered the rumour mill.
The narrative built itself: struggling at Liverpool, admired in Spain, perhaps destined for the Bernabéu. It never went beyond that.

Carlos Mac Allister made it clear those Real Madrid stories had no substance.
In the same 365Scores interview, he stated: “No one from Real Madrid contacted us at any time throughout Alexis’ career.”
