Lazio Completes Andrea Pinamonti Transfer Deal with Sassuolo
Andrea Pinamonti is heading to Rome. After days of hints and half-confirmations, Lazio and Sassuolo have now reached a full agreement for the striker’s move to the capital.
The Italian forward, who had long given his approval to the transfer, will join the Biancocelesti on loan with an option to buy. The final push came on Tuesday afternoon, when the main voices of the Italian transfer market lined up to confirm the deal.
Fabrizio Romano put his stamp on it with his trademark “Here We Go”, signalling that the negotiations had finally crossed the finish line. Lazio insider Damiano Er Faina also described the move as a done deal, echoing the growing sense that only the formalities are left.
The Numbers Behind the Deal
The figures are still being debated, but the framework is clear. According to Sky Sport Italia’s Gianluca Di Marzio, the total cost of the operation could climb to around €12 million, combining the loan fee with future add-ons.
Italian journalist Alfredo Pedullà offers a slightly different reading. He reports that Lazio are expected to spend just over €10 million overall, with a loan fee already exceeding €3 million forming a significant chunk of that outlay.
La Lazio Siamo Noi back up the idea of a substantial loan payment, again pointing to a fee above €3 million. The final bill, though, remains open. The overall cost will be shaped by bonuses tied to sporting objectives, meaning Lazio’s expenditure will grow only if Pinamonti and the team hit specific targets.
What It Means for Lazio
With the agreement in place and Sassuolo having given the green light, Lazio now prepare to welcome a striker they have chased for some time. The structure of the deal gives the club flexibility: a relatively contained initial outlay, with the option to make the move permanent if Pinamonti delivers.
The numbers may still be argued over in the coming days. The direction of travel is not. Pinamonti is on his way to the Olimpico, and Lazio are betting that this is the forward who can shift the balance of their attack.
