Juventus Firm on Kenan Yildiz Amid Arsenal Interest

Luciano Spalletti is not blinking. Not over Kenan Yildiz.

As Arsenal weigh up a late-window push for the highly rated winger, the Juventus manager has drawn a hard line in the sand, making it clear the 21-year-old will not be sacrificed – no matter how big the bid.

Speaking to the media, Spalletti cut through the transfer noise with a blunt message.

"I am perfectly relaxed, because dealing with Yildiz is easy for me," he said. "They can offer whatever they like, I want Yildiz here and will always put him on the field.

"His future is already important, staying at Juventus, not because there are other clubs who want to spend €100m for him."

That stance backs up what David Ornstein reported for NBC Sports ahead of Arsenal’s Premier League opener: Juventus want Yildiz to stay, and the coach is fully aligned with that position.

Arsenal’s long-standing interest

The story on the other side is just as clear. Arsenal like Yildiz. A lot.

Journalist Sacha Tavolieri recently described the Turkey international as a “dream” winger signing for Mikel Arteta this summer, adding that Arsenal had decided to move for him. Arteta has been pushing the idea for some time, with the club now understood to be ready to “pull out all the stops” to land the Juventus attacker.

So far, every signal from Turin has been the same: don’t bother.

Juventus’ ‘untouchable’ stance

Inside the club hierarchy, the message is as uncompromising as Spalletti’s. General manager Damien Comolli has publicly branded Yildiz “untouchable” and “at the centre of our project”, underlining just how central he is to their plans.

Comolli has not denied Arsenal’s interest. On the contrary, he confirmed it – then shut the door.

Arsenal may want Yildiz, but Juventus, he insisted, would not sell “even if they offered €100m”.

The Gunners wait on the market

That has not stopped Arsenal from hovering in the background. They are watching. And waiting.

James McNicholas reported for The Athletic that Arsenal are monitoring the market to see if circumstances shift around either Yildiz or Julian Alvarez of Atletico Madrid, with both viewed as potential high-level attacking additions if an opportunity unexpectedly opens up.

Right now, that opportunity does not exist. Juventus continue to brief that Yildiz is going nowhere in the final stretch of the window, and Spalletti’s public backing only hardens that position.

Arsenal remain in the shadows, hoping the market cracks. Juventus are betting it never does.
