Inter Champions League Squad 2026-27: Summer Signings Included
Inter have nailed down their squad for the 2026-27 Champions League league phase – and every one of their summer signings is on the list.
John Stones, Curtis Jones, Aleksandar Stankovic and Djed Spence have all been registered, split between UEFA’s List A and List B, as the Nerazzurri confirmed their submissions following the closure of the summer transfer window on September 1 across most of Europe.
Inter go with 23 on List A
UEFA regulations allow a maximum of 25 players on List A, but there’s a catch: each club must include at least two goalkeepers and eight locally trained players. Inter fall one short on that final requirement, with only seven players meeting the locally trained criteria.
That shortfall automatically drags their List A limit down from 25 to 23 – and Inter have filled all 23 of those slots.
The seven locally trained names are:
- Ivan Provedel
- Raffaele Di Gennaro
- Alessandro Bastoni
- Federico Dimarco
- Mattia Marello
- Nicolo Barella
- Piotr Zielinski
Around that core, Simone Inzaghi’s side have built a squad that looks built for a deep run.
Between the posts, Josep Martinez joins Provedel and Di Gennaro.
In defence, Stones headlines the new arrivals, lining up with Manuel Akanji, Benjamin Pavard, Carlos Augusto, Yann-Aurel Bisseck and Spence, giving Inter a mix of ball-playing composure and physical edge across the back line.
Midfield is stacked. Zielinski and Barella are joined by Petar Sucic, Luis Henrique, Andy Diouf, Hakan Calhanoglu, Curtis Jones and Henrikh Mkhitaryan, offering every possible profile from deep-lying playmaker to box-crashing runner.
Up front, Marcus Thuram, Lautaro Martinez and Ange-Yoan Bonny carry the scoring burden, a trio capable of stretching defences and punishing any lapse.
Youth talent parked on List B
Stankovic and Pio Esposito do not appear on List A, but that’s by design, not omission.
Both were born after the January 1, 2005 cut-off and have spent an uninterrupted period at the club, which makes them eligible for List B. Inter have used that flexibility, registering the pair as youth players instead of burning senior slots.
The club have not disclosed the full List B, but the inclusion of Stankovic and Esposito underlines a familiar strategy: big-name experience on the main list, hungry youth waiting just behind it.
Inter’s paperwork is done. The squad is set.
Now the question hangs over the season: is this the group that finally turns potential into a Champions League title?
