Hull City agree £22m deal for Iroegbunam as transfer window heats up
Hull City have launched a major late-window statement, agreeing a £22m package with Everton for midfielder Tim Iroegbunam.
The 23-year-old is set to leave Hill Dickinson Stadium for an initial £13m, with a further £9m tied up in performance-related add-ons. He has been granted permission to travel to East Yorkshire to undergo a medical as Hull race to finalise business before Tuesday night’s deadline.
Signed by Everton from Aston Villa for £9m in 2024, Iroegbunam now looks poised to become Hull’s 13th signing of a frantic summer. The recruitment drive is not slowing either, with talks ongoing over a loan move for Chelsea midfielder Dario Essugo as the Championship side push to arm themselves for a promotion tilt.
Man City close in on £65m Ndiaye deal after Spurs stall
At the other end of the market, Manchester City have moved decisively to land Iliman Ndiaye from Everton in a deal worth up to £65m.
City have agreed to pay £60m up front for the Senegal international, with an extra £5m in add-ons. The 26-year-old winger has been at the centre of a tug-of-war in the final days of the window, with Tottenham Hotspur initially appearing in pole position.
Spurs agreed terms with Everton on Friday night for Ndiaye, anticipating Richarlison would return to Merseyside in a separate £35m transfer. The twist came off the pitch: Richarlison failed to agree personal terms with his former club. With that move collapsing, Tottenham were unable to complete the Ndiaye deal, opening the door for City to step in.
Now Pep Guardiola is on the verge of adding another high-impact wide option, while Everton face the task of reshaping their squad in the final hours of the window.
Deadline clock ticking down
Premier League and EFL clubs have until 23:00 BST on Tuesday to get their business done. The summer window reopened for a second spell this year on Monday, 15 June, with Fifa regulations capping the total length of transfer windows at 16 weeks per calendar year.
Last season, the English window shut at 19:00 to line up with the traditional working day. It has reverted to the familiar 23:00 finish this time, restoring the late-night drama.
Across Europe, the rush is just as intense but the shutters come down earlier. The windows in Spain, France and Italy all close on Tuesday evening, while the Bundesliga deadline is set for 19:00. In Scotland, clubs have until 17:00 on Thursday, 3 September, and the Women’s Super League window also runs until that same Thursday.
Aznou returns to Spain with Malaga loan
Everton have also sanctioned an outgoing at left-back, with Adam Aznou joining La Liga side Malaga on loan for the 2026-27 season.
The 20-year-old arrived at Goodison from Bayern Munich in the summer of 2025 but found minutes hard to come by, making just two senior appearances last term – one each in the FA Cup and Carabao Cup. This move marks a return to familiar territory for the defender, who came through Barcelona’s famed La Masia academy before heading to Munich in 2023.
Forest’s Hutchinson heads to Milan
Nottingham Forest have trimmed their attacking options, sending Omari Hutchinson to AC Milan on loan until the end of the season.
The seven-time European champions hold an option to make the move permanent next summer, giving them a long look at the forward at San Siro. Hutchinson only joined Forest 12 months ago in a £37.5m switch from Ipswich Town, but his first season at the City Ground was turbulent: 17 Premier League starts under four different managers.
Now he swaps relegation battles for Champions League ambitions, with Forest banking on regular Serie A football to unlock his potential.
Man City land Palmeiras winger Allan in £34m move
While one major deal edges closer in Ndiaye, Manchester City have already completed another, signing winger Allan Elias from Palmeiras in a transfer worth up to £34.2m.
City will pay £32m initially, with £2.2m in add-ons, and have tied the 22-year-old Brazilian to a five-year contract. He arrives as a direct replacement for compatriot Savio, who sealed a £75m move to Tottenham Hotspur last week.
Allan, a right-sided attacker, came through Palmeiras’ youth system and produced nine goals and 12 assists in 96 senior appearances across all competitions for the Brazilian club. City now hand him the platform to translate that promise to the Premier League.
Forest reunite Munoz with Glasner in £22m deal
Nottingham Forest have also strengthened at the back, completing the £22m signing of Daniel Munoz from Crystal Palace.
The Colombia right-back reunites with head coach Oliver Glasner at the City Ground after the pair lifted both the FA Cup and Conference League together at Selhurst Park. Munoz has signed a three-year deal following two and a half years with Palace, where he scored 11 goals in 109 appearances from full-back.
He follows the £50m club-record arrival of Liam Delap and could be thrown straight in for his debut against Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League on Saturday, as Forest look to build a more robust spine.
