Harry Kane Reaches 101 Bundesliga Goals in 7–0 Victory

Harry Kane walked off the Allianz Arena pitch with the match ball, a 7–0 win, and another slice of history under his arm.

Two more goals against Union Berlin took the England captain to 100 and then 101 Bundesliga strikes, making him the fastest player ever to reach a century in any of Europe’s top five leagues. He needed just 98 appearances to do it.

“I’m very proud of scoring 101 Bundesliga goals in such a short time,” the 33-year-old said in his post-match interview, quoted via Bayern-focused outlet iMiaSanMia. “I’ve loved every second of it.”

This was not just another routine home win. Bayern had been stumbling below their own standards, even as the results kept coming. Performances against Schalke and Elversberg left questions hanging over the champions. The response was ruthless.

Kane, surrounded by a frontline that looks increasingly dangerous, underlined how much he is enjoying the supply line around him.

“Playing with Michael (Olise), Lucho (Luis Díaz), Jamal (Musiala), I know I’ll get chances,” he said. “Thank you to the team and the club. It’s a great stat to have. Let’s keep it going.”

The pressure that had been building after those flatter displays eased with every Bayern attack. Union simply could not live with the movement, the tempo, the finishing. For Kane, it felt like a statement win at the right time.

“We’ve been winning games and scoring goals recently, but didn’t quite reach our top level,” he admitted. “It was nice to get to this level today, especially right before the international break.”

The goals and the records naturally lead to the next question: how long will this partnership between Kane and Bayern last?

Talks over a contract extension at the Rekordmeister are under way, and Kane made clear he sees his future in Munich, even if nothing is signed yet.

“As I said (before), I’m extremely happy here,” he confirmed. “The talks are ongoing. I really appreciate the support the fans are showing me here.”

The numbers keep climbing. The negotiations continue in the background. If this is what Kane produces while talks are “ongoing”, Bayern will be in no hurry at all to let this story end.
