Estevao's Focus: Training Hard and Seizing Opportunities at Chelsea

Estevao keeps it simple. No drama, no digs, no headlines thrown at his club manager from the safety of a national team podium.

Facing reporters with the Selecao, the Chelsea winger was asked the obvious question: how does he see his role in a crowded forward line at Stamford Bridge, under a new coach with fresh ideas and tough selection calls?

He refused the bait.

“I think every coach has their own way of playing,” the former Palmeiras prodigy said, making it clear he has no intention of questioning decisions from the dugout.

The 17-year-old instead turned the spotlight on himself and the work he puts in away from matchday. “Of course, we work every day, I give my best every day, and that's what I do,” he stressed, outlining a simple formula: train hard, wait, and be ready.

Chelsea’s attacking department is stacked, and Estevao knows it. That reality shapes his mindset. “We have quality players at Chelsea, so what I do is focus on what I can control, I try to give my best in training, when I get an opportunity I try to give my best, it goes day after day.”

The message is relentless repetition: control the controllables, accept the rest.

“I try to seize every opportunity I have, I try to control everything I can and I leave it in God's hands, and I trust myself a lot too,” he added.
