Four Crucial Factors in the Eersel vs. Jarvis II ONE Lightweight Muay Thai Title Rematch
Eight months after their initial clash ended in just 84 seconds, reigning ONE Lightweight Muay Thai and Kickboxing World Champion Regian "The Immortal" Eersel is set to defend his 26-pound championship against George "G-Unit" Jarvis at The Inner Circle 33.
This high-stakes rematch will be broadcast live during Asia primetime exclusively on live.onefc.com from Bangkok's legendary Lumpinee Stadium on Friday, October 2.
Eersel has dominated the lightweight striking division with a career record of 65 wins, 5 losses, and 29 finishes, showcasing his skills in both Muay Thai and kickboxing. A product of Sityodtong Amsterdam, he has dismantled every opponent, including Jarvis, whom he defeated decisively at ONE Fight Night 34 in August 2025.
His well-known weapons include precise striking, but his short-range elbow strikes deserve more attention. While rarely used under kickboxing rules, Eersel unleashes these elbows with deadly accuracy in Muay Thai bouts. These elbows were pivotal in their first fight, where he countered Jarvis's forward pressure with a relentless combination ending in a brutal elbow finish.
Standing at 6 feet 2 inches, Eersel leverages his height and reach to deliver downward elbows that shorter fighters struggle to defend. His long reach makes these strikes especially harmful when opponents try to close the distance.
Jarvis tends to absorb damage while hunting for counterattacks, which could leave him vulnerable to repeated inside elbow attacks. If Eersel can establish this strategy early, he might finish the fight even faster than before.
