Dastan Satpayev Loan to Burnley After Chelsea Signing
Chelsea’s latest long-term project, Dastan Satpayev, is already on the move before he has even kicked a ball for the club.
The 18-year-old Kazakhstan international is close to sealing a loan switch to Championship side Burnley, only days after signing a six-year contract at Stamford Bridge, with an option for a further season. That deal was confirmed on his 18th birthday on Wednesday, completing a £3.4m transfer from Kairat FC that had been pre-agreed for January 2025.
Chelsea have moved quickly to map out his immediate future. Satpayev has already travelled to Turf Moor and is expected to undergo a medical ahead of Burnley’s home game against West Ham on Sunday. If all goes to plan, he will link up with Vincent Kompany’s squad as they push to climb the Championship table and inject more pace and flair into their wide areas.
The move fits neatly into Chelsea’s broader strategy this week. The club have been busy trimming and testing their burgeoning pool of young talent with a series of loans across the English pyramid.
