Crystal Palace Sign Axel Disasi on Loan from Chelsea
Crystal Palace have moved to strengthen their back line by bringing in France international Axel Disasi on loan from Chelsea.
The 28-year-old centre back arrives at Selhurst Park after a mixed spell at Stamford Bridge, where he made 61 appearances following his move from Monaco in 2023. Chelsea have again chosen to send him out, this time across London, after he spent last season on loan at West Ham United and featured 14 times in the Premier League.
Disasi, part of the France squad that reached the 2022 World Cup final in Qatar, spoke with clear conviction about the switch.
"I'm very happy. The club has been going in a very good direction, so I think it was the right place for me to keep going," he said in a statement.
For Palace, it is a deal that adds experience, size and pedigree to their defence. For Disasi, it is another chance to reassert himself in the Premier League and remind Chelsea, and the rest of the division, exactly what he can offer.
