Crystal Palace Sign Anan Khalaili on Long-Term Deal

Crystal Palace have completed the signing of Israel international Anan Khalaili on a long-term deal running through to 2031, in a move that underlines the club’s growing ambition on and off the pitch.

The Eagles are understood to have paid around £21m for the 21-year-old, who brings a rare blend of versatility and European know-how. Comfortable both at full-back and further forward on the wing, Khalaili arrives as a modern, high-energy option for Pierre Sage, capable of stretching games or locking them down.

He joins from Union Saint-Gilloise, where his impact was immediate. Signed in 2024, he helped drive the Brussels club to a historic Belgian Pro League title – their first in 90 years – and added a Belgian Cup to complete a remarkable domestic double. Those performances quickly pushed him onto the radar of clubs across Europe; Palace have moved decisively to get him.

Khalaili also steps into Selhurst Park with European pedigree already on his CV. Of his six goals last season, three came in the Champions League, a return that should serve Palace well as they prepare for a Europa League campaign that suddenly looks a little more dangerous for their opponents.

"I have followed the Premier League for a long time, it's a new challenge for me," Khalaili said after the move was confirmed. "And Crystal Palace I like, because I have followed them for a long time. They have deserved to win three trophies and I want to do more."

That ambition will be music to Sage’s ears. Palace, who have been steadily reshaping their squad, have now added a fifth new signing of the window, and Khalaili’s ability to operate in multiple roles gives the head coach fresh tactical options on both flanks.
