Celtic's League Cup Campaign Begins Under Martin O’Neill

Martin O’Neill is back on the touchline tonight as Celtic open their League Cup campaign away to Dundee United – and he has wasted no time freshening up a winning team.

Fresh from a 5-1 demolition of Kilmarnock in the SPFL last weekend, O’Neill has made four changes for the trip to Tannadice, with Liam Scales, Sebastian Tounekti, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Colby Donovan all drafted into the starting XI.

Arne Engels, Alistair Johnston, Kieran Tierney and Yang drop out from last week’s line-up, giving the side a slightly different look for what could be a tricky cup opener on the road.

There is also a new flavour to the bench. Recent arrivals Haissem and Hassan are both included among the substitutes, joined by Mika Baur, who completed his move to the champions during the week and is immediately involved in the matchday squad.
