Bentley Joins Coventry City: Aiming for Premier League Success

Bentley has thrown himself straight into Coventry City’s plans, talking up both the club’s ambition and his own hunger to set standards in the dressing room.

The experienced goalkeeper, unveiled as the latest addition to the Sky Blues’ squad, made it clear this move feels like the right step at the right time.

“Coventry City is a fantastic club and I'm really happy to get this deal over the line,” he told the club’s official website, underlining the sense of satisfaction at finally sealing the switch.

What sold it to him? The trajectory. The mood. The feeling that something is building.

“It feels like a place that is developing and, off the back of a fantastic season last year, there is a really good feel around the place. It is really positive and there is an obvious excitement to go into the new season with the aim of being as successful as possible.”

Bentley is not arriving as a prospect. He is arriving as a reference point.

“I will bring a lot of experience. I'm a senior player with good leadership qualities and I'm someone who has really high standards. I want to make my mark on the pitch as well, of course.”

Competition will be fierce. He knows it, and he welcomes it.

“There is a really good goalkeeping group here. When I get my opportunity, it is down to me to take it. I want to help the club get results in the Premier League.”

Coventry want to climb. Bentley has come in to make sure they do it with their gloves on and their standards raised.
