Dias, a regular starter under Odair Hellmann, has caught the eye with a mix of physical power and calm decision-making rarely seen in a teenager at the heart of a top-flight defence. Those traits have impressed Barcelona’s recruitment team, who, according to ESPN Brazil, are still in the evaluation phase and have not yet placed a formal offer on the table for Athletico Paranaense.

Those games might be billed as friendlies, but for a teenager under the gaze of Barcelona and the Premier League, they carry the weight of auditions.
Perform well on that stage and the dynamic shifts. The assessment phase in Barcelona’s offices could turn into concrete negotiations. Tottenham and any other English suitors might feel compelled to return, this time with an even bigger number.
