Stefan Bajcetic is edging towards the Anfield exit, with Celta Vigo now advancing talks over personal terms as they push to take the Liverpool midfielder back to Spain.
Transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano reported on X that “Celta Vigo are closing in on personal terms agreement with Stefan Bajcetic to join from Liverpool,” a line that underlines the growing feeling that the 21-year-old’s future lies away from Merseyside.
Bajcetic is tied to Liverpool until 2027, but any move is expected to require a negotiated solution rather than a straightforward end-of-contract departure. Liverpool are not thought to be standing in the way. After a promising breakthrough, the Spaniard has seen his momentum stall through a difficult run of injuries and loan spells that never quite reignited his early surge.
La Liga Calling
Signs of an imminent change are already visible. Reports have placed Bajcetic in Finland for fitness checks ahead of a potential switch to La Liga, a detail that suggests this is no tentative enquiry but a move being actively pieced together by all sides.
For Liverpool, his likely departure would be another step in a summer of churn under Andoni Iraola. There was a point when Bajcetic looked capable of carving out a meaningful role in the first team, his composure and bite in midfield hinting at a long-term option. That pathway has narrowed sharply.
