Arsenal and Liverpool Tribunal Over Vincent Joseph Compensation

Arsenal and Liverpool are heading for a tribunal over highly rated teenage striker Vincent Joseph after failing to agree a compensation fee for the 16-year-old.

The forward has already left Liverpool’s academy setup and moved to London, where he will continue his development with Arsenal’s youth ranks. The switch comes after a standout spell in his age group, during which Joseph emerged as one of the most impressive performers in his bracket in recent months.

Liverpool lose top prospect after contract stand-off

Liverpool did not let him go without a fight. The club offered Joseph a scholarship deal they felt would give him the best platform to grow on Merseyside and pushed hard to keep him. Staff at the academy believed in his potential and made what they considered their strongest case.

Joseph turned them down.

Attracted by Arsenal’s proposal and the pathway on offer in north London, the striker informed Liverpool he intended to join the Gunners. Once that decision was made, Liverpool and Arsenal opened talks to settle a fee between themselves.

Those negotiations hit a wall. No agreement, no compromise.

Tribunal to settle the bill

With the clubs unable to find common ground, the matter will now go before a tribunal, as reported by Mirror Football. The panel will decide how much Arsenal must pay in compensation for a player widely viewed as one of the top young attacking talents in the country.

That ruling will close the dispute between the two clubs and set the official price on Joseph’s move.

Arsenal, for their part, are adding him to a cluster of some of the most highly regarded youngsters in England. They believe they have landed a forward with significant upside, one who has already shown he can dominate at his level.

For Joseph, leaving Liverpool marks a major step in a career that is only just beginning. For Arsenal, the question now is simple: how far can this 16-year-old push in a system built to turn potential into first-team reality?
