Women’s Super League Transfer Calendar for 2026/27

The Women’s Super League has locked in its transfer calendar for the 2026/27 campaign, setting the stage for another frantic summer of recruitment and mid-season reshaping.

The summer window will open on Tuesday, June 16, giving clubs a crucial stretch to rebuild, refresh and, in some cases, rip things up entirely. Business can be done right up until 11pm (UK time) on Thursday, September 3, a familiar late-night deadline that so often exposes who has planned well and who is scrambling.

Once the season is underway, attention will turn to January. The winter window is scheduled to open on Monday, January 4, 2027, and will run through to 11pm on Thursday, February 4. One month for clubs to correct course, plug gaps left by injuries, or take advantage of any unrest elsewhere in the league.

Recent history shows how decisive these windows can be. Last summer brought in Chloe Kelly, Taylor Hinds, Anneke Borbe and Olivia Smith, a quartet that underlined a clear recruitment strategy and injected quality across the pitch. The work did not stop there. Smilla Holmberg arrived in January, while Barbora Votikova joined on loan, adding depth and experience at a critical point in the season.

With the dates now confirmed, planning moves from the whiteboard to reality. Squads will be shaped, title bids armed, and survival battles prepared long before that first contract is signed on June 16.
