These are the most talented footballers aged 21 or under, ranked according to their current achievements and future promise. The list includes several Premier League stars, with notable progress seen from players like Estevao Willian. Any player older than 21 is not considered.

In football, some young players clearly show signs of becoming great early on. Lionel Messi is the classic example, having been identified as exceptional shortly after joining Barcelona at 13. In 2025, there are a few players 21 or younger who look set to achieve significant success, even if we might not see another Messi-level talent soon.
