Roma Targets Brugge's Tresoldi as Gasperini Seeks Striker

Roma’s search for a new forward under Gian Piero Gasperini has taken another sharp turn. After negotiations for Mason Greenwood and Crysencio Summerville collapsed earlier this month, the club have now zeroed in on Nicolo Tresoldi of Club Brugge.

It is a move with a clear technical stamp. Tresoldi is exactly the kind of young, mobile striker Gasperini tends to build around: energetic, aggressive, willing to run without the ball. The profile has convinced the coach, and Roma have moved from scouting to action.

According to Il Tempo journalists Filippo Biafora and Lorenzo Pes, Roma are already in talks with Club Brugge over a deal. The dialogue is open, the lines are warm, and one crucial element is already in place: Tresoldi has made it known he wants the move to Italy.

That, though, is only half the battle. Brugge are holding firm and continue to demand high figures for the German forward. Roma’s interest is real, the player is pushing, but the Belgian club are in no mood to offer discounts.
