Real Madrid Continues Pursuit of Yan Diomande Amid Ongoing Talks with Leipzig
Real Madrid remain engaged in negotiations to finalize the transfer of Ivorian winger Yan Diomande from RB Leipzig. Discussions between the two clubs continue without a conclusive deal as of now.
No Agreement Yet, Talks to Resume
German journalist Florian Plettenberg, reporting for Sky Sport Germany, revealed that there is still no final agreement on Diomande’s transfer. After further talks today, all parties confirmed the situation remains unsettled. Unless an unexpected development occurs before midnight, negotiations are set to resume the following morning.
"The deal is still on," Plettenberg said. "Diomande trained at Leipzig today with controlled physical effort to avoid jeopardizing the potential transfer. Real Madrid are eager to close the deal this week."
Diomande's Rise and Other Interested Clubs
At just 19 years old, Diomande plays primarily on the wing. He joined Leipzig in the summer of 2025, transferring from Spain's Leganes. His impressive debut season in the Bundesliga has drawn attention across Europe.
Paris Saint-Germain have also shown interest in signing the Ivorian talent. Additionally, reports link Liverpool and Manchester City with pursuit of Diomande, adding competition to the race for his signature.
