PSG Set to Sign Akliouche for €50m as Barcola Replacement
Paris Saint-Germain are about to pull off another heavyweight move in the market, closing in on Monaco winger Akliouche in a deal that underlines just how ruthlessly Luis Enrique is reshaping his attack.
The transfer, described as imminent by Mundo Deportivo, is more than another big-name arrival. It is a direct response to the expected departure of Bradley Barcola this summer, a pre-emptive strike from a club that has no intention of loosening its grip on France or Europe.
From Monaco project to Paris headline
Akliouche has been on PSG’s radar for some time, earmarked as a priority for the forward line. At 24, with Ligue 1 experience and international pedigree, he fits the profile of a player who can step straight into Enrique’s rotation and stay there for years.

That rise has already taken him to the France national team. The winger has ten senior caps and one goal for Les Bleus, and he was part of the squad at the 2026 World Cup. His only appearance at the tournament was a neat encapsulation of his current status: an 83rd-minute substitute, replacing Barcola in a 3-0 group-stage win over Iraq. Now, at club level, he is being lined up to replace the same teammate.

Medicals, contract, and a long-term bet
The deal has now entered its final stretch. Akliouche travelled to Paris on Thursday to undergo his medical, the last formal hurdle before he signs.
Once he passes those tests, he will commit to a long-term contract running until June 2031. That length says everything about PSG’s intentions: this is not a short-term patch, but a core piece of Enrique’s attacking blueprint.
As soon as the ink is dry, Akliouche will join up with the squad and slot into the options on the flank, adding depth, competition and a different kind of threat in wide areas.
