Peter Shalulile Joins Young Africans After Mamelodi Sundowns

Peter Shalulile has chosen a familiar face over a familiar league.

The Namibia international, fresh from ending a glittering six-year spell with Mamelodi Sundowns, has agreed to link up with Manqoba Mngqithi at Tanzanian heavyweights Young Africans, turning down interest from across Africa and the Middle East.

At 32, with his contract at Chloorkop concluded and his medal collection already bulging, Shalulile stood at a career crossroads. Pyramids FC, where Rhulani Mokwena is rebuilding with serious ambition, looked the most logical step. Same continent, serious money, a coach who knows him well. On paper, it made perfect sense.
