The Senegal international is coming off the best season of his career. He drove Palace to a historic UEFA Conference League triumph, finishing with nine goals in the competition and walking away with the Player of the Season award. Those numbers, and the manner in which he delivered them, have not been ignored in Manchester.
United have now made contact with Sarr’s representatives to formally register their interest and gather more detail on his situation. Sources indicate the 28-year-old was already on United’s radar before the World Cup in North America, but his performances there have only sharpened the focus.
