They will not be at full capacity in Gothenburg either. Bradley Barcola, Desire Doué and Ousmane Dembélé are all missing, stripping some of the explosive width and one-on-one threat from PSG’s attack.
Yet this is still PSG. This is still a squad loaded with quality.
Kvaratskhelia brings that familiar, slaloming menace from the flank. Nuno Mendes offers power and pace from full-back. Vitinha and João Neves give Enrique a slick, technical core in midfield that can keep the ball, dictate rhythm and punish any United side that drifts out of shape.
Even short-handed, the French champions carry enough talent to turn a preseason friendly into something far more serious for Carrick’s men.
A true barometer for Carrick
United’s summer so far has been about fitness, structure, and giving chances. Tonight, it becomes about answers.
How quickly can Tielemans and Fernandes click? Can United’s makeshift goalkeeping group cope against this level of opposition? Will the defensive structure hold when PSG’s better technicians start to find space between the lines?
