Liverpool Signs Spanish Playmaker Natalia Ramos

Liverpool have added further steel and subtlety to their midfield with the signing of Spanish playmaker Natalia Ramos from CD Tenerife Femenino, subject to visa approval and international clearance.

The 27-year-old arrives as the Reds’ sixth recruit of a busy summer window, completing a permanent move from the Liga F side where she quietly became a cornerstone. More than 200 appearances for Tenerife tell one part of the story; 30 games in Spain’s top flight last season, 10 goals and five assists from midfield tell the rest. She doesn’t just keep the ball moving. She hurts teams.

For Ramos, the move is as emotional as it is ambitious.

"I'm really, really happy," she said, the significance of the step obvious. "I'm very excited to achieve this new step in my life and I'm very grateful for this new opportunity.

"For me it was a very easy decision and I'm very, very happy, with a lot of feelings and emotions because I know who the club is, the respect [it has]. I feel very happy and privileged to take this shirt and sign at the club."

This is not a player arriving from the fringes. Ramos has long been on the radar in Spain, having represented her country at Under-17 and Under-19 level. She was part of the Spain squad that lifted the 2017 Women's European Under-19 Championship in Northern Ireland, a tournament that helped launch a generation now driving the senior national team.

At club level, she grew into a leader at Tenerife, trusted in high-pressure moments and productive from deep areas. Liverpool are betting that those habits translate quickly to the intensity of English football.

Her arrival continues a clear pattern. Ramos follows Mao Itamura, Vivien Endemann, Sara Agrez, Mari Ward and Khiara Keating through the door this summer, as Liverpool methodically rebuild the spine and depth of their squad.

One more technically gifted, battle-tested midfielder in red. One more sign that Liverpool are not just refreshing – they’re aiming to reshape the conversation about where they belong in the women’s game.
