Liverpool FC Women Sign Goalkeeper Khiara Keating

Liverpool FC Women have moved decisively in the transfer market, securing the permanent signing of highly rated goalkeeper Khiara Keating following the expiry of her contract at Manchester City.

At 22, Keating already carries the air of a goalkeeper who has seen a lot. She made her senior debut at just 17, stepped through the ranks of the City academy and climbed all the way to England recognition, representing the Lionesses at both youth and senior level and making her senior debut in October 2025.

Now she heads to Merseyside as Liverpool’s fourth new arrival of the summer, a deal that underlines the club’s intent to strengthen the spine of the team with proven quality rather than stop-gap options.

There is a familiar face waiting for her. Keating reunites with head coach Gareth Taylor, with whom she previously worked at Manchester City. That existing relationship should strip away the usual settling-in period for a new goalkeeper; Taylor knows her game, and she knows exactly what he demands from his No.1.

For Liverpool, it is a signing that blends long-term potential with immediate authority. For Keating, it is the next step in a career that has never waited around for the future to arrive.
