Liverpool Considering Djed Spence Move Amid Defensive Concerns

Liverpool are weighing up a move for Tottenham defender Djed Spence, with the full-back described as “extremely receptive” to the idea of swapping north London for Anfield.

The update, shared in tandem with X account @szyexcl – a handle that has built a reputation around Tottenham news – underlines that there is “definite interest” from Liverpool, even if those close to the club try to play it down in public.

This is not yet a negotiation. It is a live possibility.

Tottenham’s price and Liverpool’s calculation

Tottenham, for their part, have been aggressive in the market. Six signings already, and they are not done. Savinho is the priority for the right wing. A left winger or a striker is also on the agenda. Cody Gakpo, notably, sits on their list of attacking options, with Liverpool prepared to consider a sale if they secure a direct replacement.

All of that requires funds, and Spence offers a route to raise some.

Spurs, according to @szyexcl, would seek “at least £35m” to part with the defender. For a player on the fringes in north London, that is a significant figure.
