The medical is not yet scheduled, but the agreement is in place and the 22-year-old, who had other options, has consistently prioritised a move to Paris. He is expected to replace Kang-in Lee in Luis Enrique’s attacking rotation.
Hawkins also underlined the broader reshuffle: should Barcola depart, PSG intend to recruit another winger on top of Akliouche, while Ibrahim Mbaye is heading for the exit.
By Saturday morning, Fabrizio Romano had delivered his trademark confirmation. “Maghnes Akliouche to Paris Saint-Germain, here we go,” he announced, detailing a contract running until June 2031 and a medical pencilled in for next week. The first piece of PSG’s wide rebuild is effectively in the bag.
Then came the second.
Romano revealed that Mika Godts has given the green light to the PSG project, with official negotiations underway between Paris and Ajax. The Dutch club are seeking around €60m, and Godts is ready to accept personal terms if the clubs can strike a deal. Inside PSG, there is confidence they will get it done.
