Atletico Madrid took an early lead when Julian Alvarez, making his first start of the season, set up Marcos Llorente who lobbed the ball over Alisson. Llorente has now scored five times across three visits to Anfield, continuing his strong record at the venue.

Liverpool equalized just before halftime through Dominik Szoboszlai, assisted by a clever backheel from Ronald Araujo. Shortly after the break, Alexis Mac Allister put the hosts ahead with a powerful left-foot strike from outside the box. Atletico couldn’t respond, allowing Liverpool to secure the win.
