Everton Targets Man United Forward While PSG Nears Ajax Star
Everton are reportedly interested in acquiring striker Ethan Wheatley from Manchester United before the summer transfer window closes. The 20-year-old forward has made four appearances for United's first team, three of which came in the Premier League during the 2023-24 season.
Wheatley has spent time on loan at Walsall, Northampton Town, and Bradford City. A permanent move away from Old Trafford seems likely this summer. Clubs in the Championship have shown interest, but according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Everton is preparing a formal offer. Wheatley, who has represented England at the Under-20 level, is not part of Manchester United's pre-season squad, suggesting a transfer is imminent.
PSG Closing In on Ajax Attacker Mika Godts
Paris Saint-Germain appear close to signing Mika Godts, an Ajax forward linked with several clubs including Manchester United. Reports from Fabrizio Romano indicate that Godts has agreed to join the French champions, and negotiations between PSG and Ajax are ongoing.
Ajax reportedly values the 21-year-old Belgium international at around €60 million (£51.3m). Godts has scored 25 goals and provided 27 assists in 113 appearances across all competitions. He brings European experience, having played in both the Champions League and Europa League for Ajax.
West Ham Agrees to Sell Dan Potts to Club Brugge
West Ham United have reportedly agreed on a transfer fee of around €12 million (£10.3m) to sell midfielder Dan Potts to Club Brugge. The 22-year-old’s contract with West Ham runs until 2029, and he was expected to contribute significantly in the Championship.
Journalist Mike McGrath reports that Club Brugge sees Potts as the ideal replacement for Raphael Onyedika, who is set to join Eintracht Frankfurt in Germany. Potts has recorded one assist in 28 appearances for West Ham, including 22 Premier League matches.
